The dosa tawa is heated over medium-high heat and a ladleful of dosa batter is poured onto the hot surface and spread into a thin layer using circular motions. Oil or ghee is then added to the edges of the dosa and allowed to cook until the edges start to turn golden brown. The dosa is then flipped over and cooked on the other side for a few seconds until it is crispy.
